Summary: Added bonuses, distance tracking, and speed scaling. Fixed jump bug and improved obstacle variety, coin placement, and audio polish.
Imporvements:
Bug fixes:
- Fix "floating bug": player remains elevated after rapid jumps (est. time: 10 minutes, spent time: 10 minutes)
Gameplay Mechanics:
- Respawn the coins (est. time: 15 minutes, spent time: 10 minutes)
- Add distance run indicator (est. time: 25 minutes, spent time: 20 minutes)
- Add alternative controls for slide/jump (est. time: 10 minutes, spent time: 15 minutes)
- Add gradual game speed increase over time (est. time: 15 minutes, spent time: 15 minutes)
- Add bonuses collectables: magnet and jump boost (est. time: 2 hours, spent time: 3 hours)
Level Design / Obstacle System:
- Adjust coins placement on the level (coin under and above the obstacles were hard to collect) (est. time: 3 minutes, spent time: 2 minutes)
- Randomize obstacle placement: (est. time: 4 hours, spent time: 3.5 hours)
+ Use reserved grid/lane system but vary content (log, box, etc.)
+ Add obstacle variations (different models using same hitboxes)
Audio:
- Loop main menu music and in-game music (est. time: 3 minutes, spent time: 3 minutes)
- Lower volume or soften collision impact sound (est. time: 3 minutes, spent time: 3 minutes)
